A Tool For Ministry

This video features several Calvary Chapel pastors explaining how the Lord has used the Magazine to help their fellowships. They have a lot of useful ideas and insights into how Calvary Chapel Magazine can be used effectively.

Volunteer Profile: Ed Compean

Pastor Ed offers a unique perspective on the Magazine: he served in this ministry as a photographer, and through that experience the Lord called him to become a missionary in Africa. He not only shares what it is like to be a Magazine volunteer, but also how this publication affected his work as a church planter.

Sharing Your Faith

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear.
1 Peter 3:15

For those who are timid or inexperienced at sharing their faith, Calvary Chapel Magazine is an effective tool to get them involved in the Great Commission. People afraid to approach others verbally with the message of salvation can simply hand someone a copy and point them to the Gospel presentation on the back.
Calvary Chapel Magazine can be placed in coffee shops, doctor's offices, and other public spaces. It presents the Gospel clearly on the back cover. The articles inside reinforcing the message that Jesus is the way of salvation using real life testimonies of lives transformed by Christ.

We want to assist ministries within your fellowship in reaching your community with the Gospel. Church outreach teams hand out copies of Calvary Chapel Magazine at evangelistic events, or deliver them to inmates in correctional facilities.

A Testimony
From Tim Green, Senior Pastor of CC South Pittsburgh, PA:
“Out of the blue, Gloria, who I had met and shared the Gospel with a year before, called with questions about baptism. At a coffee shop, we reviewed related Scriptures. Then I led her through the Bible verses on the back page of Calvary Chapel Magazine. I explained that baptism is a picture of dying to your old self and being raised with Christ as a new creation. She was really touched and began crying.
”We prayed right there in the coffee shop, and she surrendered her life to the Lord. It was the Lord’s perfect timing.”
