Story Submission Guidelines

We are happy to consider the work that the Lord is doing at your fellowship for a submission to Calvary Chapel Magazine. Our vision is that every story, regardless of its length or scope, would glorify our Lord and encourage the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

All stories should fall under one of the following categories:

1. Church in-reach ministries that would bless the Calvary Chapel body and would model for pastors and leaders a vision that would help build up and edify the saints.

2. Community outreach that encourages other churches with a fresh perspective on how to reach their community with the Gospel.

3. The fruit of church planting, either:

a. Locally

b. Regionally

c. Internationally

4. Overseas mission trips with the goal of church planting as well as spreading the Gospel message.

If the story meets one of the above guidelines, please send us a typewritten or emailed explanation of the ministry that is no more than 300 words.

Remember that our goal is to edify believers in CC-affiliated churches worldwide. We carefully read and pray over each submission as we consider its inclusion. Once the selected stories are approved by the leadership at CC Costa Mesa , we will contact you for further information.

NOTE: If the event has not yet taken place, you may contact us at least 2 months in advance to determine photo coverage. If the event has already taken place, please submit your stories as soon as possible, along with high-quality, high-resolution photographs.

Things to Consider
Photojournalism is demanding. There are common mistakes that amateur photographers frequently make that ruin photos. With some simple planning beforehand, you can avoid many of these problems. Read this document carefully before you shoot.
