Believers at Grace Church in Cairo, Egyptin the midst of a predominantly Islamic communityface poor living conditions, high unemployment, discrimination, and religious persecution, but find comfort and joy in Jesus Christ.
Concealed behind a van’s curtain-covered windows, Pastor Ed Taylor, Tammy White, and their Egyptian translators emerged and cautiously walked into a dark entryway of a brick apartment building. Once a week, Egyptian ministry leaders visit families to deliver groceries and offer encouragement and prayer for believers. This week, the visiting Americans joined them, hoping to hearten believers in this spiritually dark community.
The bleak conditions of the room struck Tammy’s heart. This was not the first harsh home environment to confront her, but these were the first tears she openly cried during a home visit. Tammy tried to maintain her composure.
